"As a mother of 3, I'm a big believer in self-expression and creating space for kids to discover their own selves. Going to school with balloons in your hair, wearing shorts in winter or the most unique, self-selected clothing combinations ...... if it comes from the child himself and it is responsible, my motto is 'go for it!'.
When my daughter was 7 years old, she asked me if she could try on some makeup. As a parent I was struggling with this question. ”Isn’t she too young to try on makeup? She is beautiful just as she is. What about her sensitive skin?”
Still, I did feel the urge to help her in her desire to experiment, but only with quality products good for her and her skin. My quest for quality, natural makeup especially suitable for sensitive children's skin, resulted in empty hands….only makeup for adults or kids makeup full of nasty ingredients.
That's how TOOT! born. TOOT!, the expressive, positive sound of a horn as an expression of joy.
At TOOT! we love to give kids and teens the space to express themselves freely and experiment worry-free, knowing that their skin is taken care of at the same time. And the latter, in turn, is reassuring for us parents.
Our natural, mild formulas have been developed together with the best experts in Italy. We use as few ingredients as possible and only ingredients that are suitable for sensitive (children's) skin. Without harmful ingredients!
Who better to decide what their own products should look like than kids & teens themselves? That is why we designed the TOOT! colours and packaging with more than 100 kids & teens during a 'learning by design' teaching programme in several school classes. The children learned how to brainstorm, think creatively, collaborate and present. And we translated their ideas into our prints, colour choices and packaging to come up with the perfect gift!
